Description
English: SAN DIEGO (April 14, 2007) – Cmdr. Jeffrey Beaty, Naval Base Point Loma executive officer, delivers the opening remarks for the Army’s 710th Ordnance Company, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) memorial dedication held at Lincoln Military Housing in San Diego. The plaque memorial dedication is to honor three 710th EOD Soldiers and one Special Forces Medic Soldier killed in action (KIA) on April 15, 2002, in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. The 710th Ordnance Company is currently stationed at Naval Base Point Loma, formerly Fort Rosecrans until turned over to the Department of the Navy in 1959.
